Composition

Active Ingredient: Polyvinylbutyl ether. 1 g of Vinilinum® (Shostakovsky's Balm) contains 1 g of polyvinylbutyl ether.

Pharmaceutical Form

Topical liquid.

Properties: Thick, viscous liquid ranging from light yellow to brownish-yellow with a specific odor. Does not thicken or dry in the air. Easily dissolves in propanol and toluene, practically insoluble in water and 96% ethyl alcohol. Mixes in all proportions with ethyl ether, chloroform, oils, and liquid paraffin.

Pharmacological Properties

Pharmacodynamics: Vinilinum® (Shostakovsky's Balm) has antimicrobial action, promotes wound cleaning, regeneration, and epithelialization of tissues.

Pharmacokinetics: Antiseptic action is due to the drug's ability to dehydrate microbial cells, causing protein coagulation and microbial cell death. Recovery results in the replacement of necrosis foci with specific and/or connective tissue.

Indications

For furuncles, carbuncles, trophic ulcers, purulent wounds, soft tissue injuries, burns, frostbites, dermatitis, and inflammatory skin diseases.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to the drug.

Special Precautions

Can be used as a 20% oil solution, including in combination with other compatible medicines (ointments on a vaseline and other bases, pastes, and creams).

Method of Administration and Dosage
